Mary Lee works with adults and teens to overcome anxiety, self-esteem, and relationship concerns.

Mary Lee has personally witnessed the rapid progress that young adults can often make. Both as a trained professional and as a mother of five children herself, Mary Lee acknowledges and respects the unique ability that parents have to influence the thoughts, feelings, and actions of their children, and therefore enjoys the opportunity to also work with parents to prepare for and better cope with the myriad of issues that may accompany the teenage years.

Her experience extends to working with depression, eating disorders, cutting, social anxiety, career counseling, and grief.  She is especially passionate about sports counseling and loves to help those looking to improve their performance at any level.  Mary King’s latest article on mental toughness can be found in the magazine Sports-Pages on page 31 and also a question and answer section on page 59.

Mary is a Licensed Professional Counselor by the Texas, Utah, Arizona, and Colorado State Boards of Examiners of Professional Counselors, as well as a licensed LPC-Supervisor with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. Mary is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) . Mary King earned her Bachelor of Science in Family Science, Home, and Family at Brigham Young University. She completed her Masters of Science Degree at Texas Woman’s University. She is an All-American athlete, mother of five children, and lived in Asia for a period where she developed a love and appreciation for cultural differences and the value of embracing diversity.
