Congratulations on your progress toward your counseling license! It has taken many years of hard work and dedication to get here.
Mary King and Lisa Elieson are Texas State Board approved LPC Supervisors and provide supervision to LPC Associates, who after completing their graduate degree and state board exams, are completing their associate hours for full licensure.
Lisa Elieson’s therapeutic approach is a combination of Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral, and Solution-Focused therapy, with specialties in couples therapy and sex therapy. While Mary King specializes in working with families, teenagers, anxiety, and performance issues, frequently working with local athletes. While they may have a tendency toward these perspectives, they understand that different employment sites and counselors will draw from a variety of theories. Our goal is to support you in developing your model of counseling, while ensuring ethical and board standards are maintained.
In supervision we will help with:
- Conceptualization and exploration of individual cases
- Feedback on counseling techniques, application of theories, diagnoses, and ethics
- Review of case notes and other documentation
- Consultation for emergency or time-sensitive situations and events
- Professional development in either an agency or private practice
Please keep in mind that you will be responsible for securing your own associate site.
Weekly supervision meetings
Supervision will occur at Hidden Lakes Counseling in Keller, TX unless other special exceptions have been prearranged. Face-to-face supervision will last one hour, and occur once a week in either an individual or group setting. We can also accommodate supervision via digital conferencing as necessary. Group supervision will make up no more than half of the required supervision hours.
Requirements to begin supervision:
- Copy of Transcripts
- Copy of NCE Score
- Copy of Temporary License
- Copy of Liability Insurance
- Letter of reference
- Signed Supervisory Agreement Form (provided by me)
- Licensing paperwork to send to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors
Fees
The fee for individual supervision is $70.00 per hour and group sessions (if/when available) are $40 per hour.
