Heather is a practicum intern completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling under the supervision of Lisa Elieson, PhD, LPC-S, CST.

Heather believes that everyone has the inner capabilities to problem solve and work towards self-fulfillment. Her approach to counseling is person-centered and solution-focused. She is eager to serve as a compassionate, collaborative partner in empowering individuals with life skills to meet the challenges and transitions they face through a goal-oriented approach.

Heather completed her Bachelor’s degree in Marriage and Family Studies at Brigham Young University-Idaho. She is finishing her Master’s degree at Liberty University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her education and training allow her to easily integrate a Christian counseling approach with psychological and family therapy processes. Heather serves as a CASA in Collin County and has over a decade of experience in teaching adolescents. Her passion is seeing others realize their potential.

Heather enjoys almost any outdoor activity, especially if it involves her playing with her family. She is the mother of two adult children and has been married to her sweetheart for 28 years. She loves to read biographies and marvels at the strength humans display through the adversities of life. And if the opportunity to travel arises, she will jump at the chance to explore and embrace a new culture.

While working as a student, Heather will be offering a discounted rate from now until August 2024.
